Hongyu focuses her work on international business development, especially trade and commercial ties with China and on helping Pan-Pacific companies establish a business presence in Washington State. Hongyu has over ten years of international business experience in the US, Singapore, and Canada as well as in China. She worked as an International Liaison Official in a government office in Beijing following her university graduation. As an International Liaison Official she was able to enhance cultural and diplomatic relationships between China and Latin America. She broadened her organizational and coordination skills through her work for the China Organization Committee for the Fourth World Conference on Women held in Beijing.
She was employed by the Embassy of Argentina in Singapore, assisting the embassy’s Economic and Commercial Counselor develop bilateral trade between the two countries and stimulate Singapore business investment into Argentina.
In Canada, she contributed her expertise in the international education market and operated a consulting firm to assist Canadian businesses expansion into China market. Upon the completion of her MBA studies at Seattle University, she devotes her consulting work in healthcare business between USA and China.
Hongyu is trilingual in English, Mandarin, and Spanish. She holds an MBA from Seattle University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Literature in P.R. China.
