Saurabh Sonawala has more than 25 years’ experience in IT and technology industries and 18 years’ experience managing Hinditron’s IT and other technology businesses.
Saurabh has a B. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT),and an M.S. from the University of Washington. In the past he has worked with Tektronix Inc and Digital Equipment Corp (now HP) in the US.
In 1994 he joined the management team of Hinditron (www.hinditron.com), one of India’s oldest technology companies, as Director and has been directly managing the Information Technology Division of Hinditron since then. He has also been managing Hinditron’s other activities since 2005.
In addition, he has consulted with many technology and non-technology companies. He is also actively involved in promoting bilateral trade with the US as well as offering advisory services to American companies wanting to business in India.
He is also a senior advisor of Pacific Northwest Advisors’ global team (www.pnwa.com).
He has considerable experience in working in partnership with US and European companies and Indo-US trade. He is currently a founder director of the U.S. India Importers’ Council and a member of the Western India Council of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. Earlier, he has been Treasurer of the Computer Society of India and President of the Rotary Club of Bombay Pier.
